Gluten Free Holiday Treats!

The Christmas Season is full of candies, cookies and treats. Here are two favorite holiday treats my family loves.

Philly Fudge
(I believe this came from Philadelphia Cream Cheese, but has been in my family for 30+ years)
Cream together
8 oz cream cheese
2 lbs powdered sugar

In a separate bowl, melt
1 cup butter
6 Tbls cocoa

Cool melted mixture to warm. Poor over cream cheese and sugar. Mix until smooth. Add nuts if desired. Spread into 9×13 pan. Refrigerate.

Sticky Chex Treat
(Likely came from a Chex box, but I got it from my Aunt Lisa)
Combine in sauce pan. Bring to a boil and boil for 1-2 minutes.
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups Karo Syrup

Add 1 tsp Vanilla

Pour over 2 boxes of Rice Chex

Cool slightly. Add M&M’s, Almonds, Raisins, Coconut or other candy.
